She rides her moon chariot across the heavens and visits the dreams of mortals, painting the nights with silver light amongst tiny, shiny bright stars: she is Selene, a goddess of breathtaking beauty and such a big knowledge of the cosmos that we can’t fool her, for she knows all of us to the core as she reads our minds during sleep, searching for our deepest desires.
These are The Selene Earrings, two very intricate treasures, finely woven by me, Joana (the village’s jeweler) using the most delicate glass beads that arrived to our shores from a long, long trading trip to Japan. These are carefully intertwined using a premium silk thread, so thin that they remind you of the thousand threads that make up spider webs you get to see in the morning dew! Each bead takes its special place, forming a beautiful pattern of golden crescent moons and stars, over a translucent and sparkly light blue background, with almost a twilight like light, that takes you to that extraordinary sliver of time between a summer sunset and a warm summer night…
Then, I selected the most precious gold plated findings to finish up the piece with precision and beauty! All these components are hypoallergenic and should be so light, that you’ll probably forget you’re wearing them (even though the compliments you shall get, may remind you of them once in a while!)
To top this composition and brush lightly against your neck and collabornes, a delicate pendant made of a Czech glass cobalt colored bead and a river natural pearl takes you to Ancient Greek blue shores, with tides gleaming in the moonlight, whispering her name as they foam through the sand, in remembeance of Selene all night…
