But in this realm, Joana d’Arq pieces (though sturdy and lovingly crafted) are not meant for long voyages underwater.

We work with many materials, some more water-friendly than others, but to keep your treasures shining for years, we recommend:

✴ No swimming or showering with your jewels: prolonged soaking may tarnish metals or weaken delicate details.
✴ Brief encounters with rain or mist are perfectly fine (your jewels enjoy a little adventure).
✴ Always remove rings before washing your hands, as frequent contact with soap and water can dull their magic over time.

Treat them as you would any beloved relic: with care, gentleness, and a bit of old-world respect.

Every treasure deserves a little tending: even enchanted ones.
To keep your piece gleaming as if it just slipped out of a pirate’s chest, store it somewhere cozy and dry: a soft pouch, a wooden box, or a lined drawer works beautifully. Avoid letting it mingle with rougher metals that could scratch it.

When your adornment needs a refresh, polish it gently with a soft cloth (no alchemy required). Keep perfumes, lotions and hairspray at a noble distance: these modern “potions” can dim even the bravest metals.

Brass is bold and golden-hearted, but it loves a quick polish now and then.
And fear not: soon we’ll offer our very own brass polishing pads, made especially for Joana d’Arq treasures, so you can restore their legendary shine with ease!

✧ For Clay Pieces

These pieces are lightweight, resilient, and full of magic, but they, too, appreciate gentle care.
• Avoid bending or placing heavy items on top of them (even the most skilled smith can’t fix a snapped charm).
• Keep them away from high heat: dragons, too much sun, ovens, and car dashboards included.
• If they ever get a bit dusty, wipe them softly with soft cloth, clean makeup brush, or use a cotton swab for small details.

Treat your jewel as the tiny heirloom-in-the-making that it is, and it will walk many moons with you.

Indeed! We craft all pieces with materials chosen carefully, not only for their beauty, but also for their kindness to the skin. Many of our metals are hypoallergenic, and we avoid harsh or mysterious alloys that might irritate delicate mortals.

Your journey begins on the Create page, where you can book a free consultation. Choose a slot, and soon you’ll receive a small missive (an email!) with the link to our online meeting.

During this call, we’ll wander through your ideas together: what you love, what you absolutely don’t, and all the visions swirling in between. We’ll gather references, craft a little moodboard, and Joana will sketch a few quick concepts (a bit like catching fireflies before they drift away!).
We’ll also discuss logistics, timelines, and any enchantments required to bring your piece to life.

A few days later, a detailed project outline and quote will arrive in your inbox, explaining how to officially begin your commission.
Throughout the process, we’ll keep you gently updated, and you’ll be able to request a few reasonable adjustments: while still honouring the artist’s vision. (If a request no longer aligns with our craft, we may lovingly decline continuing, as every relic must stay true to its nature.)

To secure your commission, a 50% deposit is required. The remaining amount is due once your treasure is ready to begin its journey to you.
